Hurix’s is a well-established brand in the Malaysian market, known for its herbal remedies that combine traditional wisdom with modern science. For this campaign, Hurix’s collaborated with 3D Advertisers to launch a 3D billboard for one of their most popular products—Fluaway 600, a fast-acting flu relief medication. The goal was to create a visually striking, emotionally resonant piece that made people instantly understand the product’s purpose and feel the relief it promises.

Project Brief
Ideas & concepts
The concept was rooted in contrast—visually moving from a messy, sickly environment to a bright, natural haven. We aimed to portray the feeling of congestion and discomfort, followed by the serene release one feels after taking Fluaway 600. This transformation embodied the product benefit: from flu-induced gloom to nature-inspired clarity.

ENVIRONMENT DESIGN
Designed two distinct environments:
• Before: A relatable messy bedroom with bunk beds, hanging clothes, air-conditioning unit, and cluttered furniture, capturing the real-life feel of being sick.
• After: A magical, open nature scene with soft grass, colorful flowers, and bright blue skies, symbolizing flu recovery and refreshment.
Carefully planned the room layout to include subtle hints of products that could be found at a pharmacy, reinforcing context.

character animation
• Developed a stylized 3D character with exaggerated yet relatable features (flushed cheeks, droopy eyes).
• Animated specific actions: waking up, yawning, stretching, sneezing, taking the pill, and finally smiling with a thumbs-up—mirroring the journey from sick to healthy.

Object Modeling & Animation
• Modeled Fluaway 600’s packaging and pill with precise brand detailing and realism.
• Animated the product to fly in, open automatically, slide out the pill, and drop it into the character’s hand—placing the product at the center of the story.
Special Effects & Simulation
• Sneezing Simulation: Created realistic droplet effects that interact with the “screen” to enhance viewer immersion.
• Curtain Simulation: Included fabric movement synced with the character’s action for added realism.
• Hair & Cloth Simulation: During the environment transition, the character’s pajamas gently sway to reflect the fresh breeze from the new environment.
• Environment Transformation: A glitch-chip visual transition transforms the room into nature with synchronized character and lighting changes.
Lighting & Compositing
• Initially, the room had muted lighting to portray sickness and lethargy.
• As the pill takes effect, the lighting shifts to warm and bright tones, mimicking morning sunlight.
• Refined shadows, ambient occlusion, and global illumination techniques were applied to enhance realism across both environments.
Conclusion
The Hurix’s Fluaway 600 3D Billboard successfully captured the emotional journey of flu recovery in a way that felt personal and visually stunning. It differentiated Hurix’s from competitors by pairing imaginative storytelling with commercial clarity, reminding audiences that relief can feel like stepping into nature.
