Project Brief

Solaire North, a premier luxury casino and resort destination in the Philippines, partnered with Inewvation and 3D Advertisers to launch a Christmas-themed 3D billboard campaign. The goal was to celebrate the holiday season with a captivating visual that reflects Solaire’s premium offerings—from gaming and dining to leisure and entertainment—while positioning the brand as an upscale, vibrant destination in Quezon City.

Project Goal:

To design a visually stunning and emotionally resonant 3D billboard experience that showcases Solaire North as the ultimate destination for Christmas entertainment and luxury.

Campaign Objectives:

• Highlight Solaire North’s premium facilities through thematic storytelling.

• Deliver a festive visual spectacle that attracts foot traffic and garners social media engagement.

• Establish brand association with premium holiday experiences in the local and tourist market.

Ideas & concepts

Core Idea:

We envisioned a luxurious Christmas conveyor belt bringing curated holiday experiences to life. The idea stems from the insight that holidays are all about giving—and Solaire has something for everyone. From casino excitement to romantic escapes, culinary indulgences, and musical performances—each moment is unwrapped like a gift.

Execution Strategy:

The billboard features a stylized conveyor belt rolling out holiday “gifts” from within the screen, symbolizing the range of experiences at Solaire. Each set of items represents a different thematic zone:

Casino Fun: Chips, dice, cards.

Romantic Dates: Teddy bear, roses, heart icon.

Leisure & Relaxation: Halo-halo, beach ball, sunglasses.

Entertainment: Microphone, saxophone, keyboard.

Fine Dining: Lobster, prawns, festive dishes.

Each set is presented in sequence, gradually building the excitement and immersing viewers in Solaire’s premium Christmas offerings.

Innovative Elements:

• Strategic pacing and rhythm aligned with musical transitions.

• Use of premium lighting and shading to emulate real-world materials like gold coins and glass ornaments.

• Iconic “gift bag of chips” finale, creating a standout moment of visual delight and product tie-in.

ENVIRONMENT DESIGN

We created a stylized festive environment with a deep sense of spatial dimension. The color palette focused on rich purples, warm golds, and ambient lighting, designed to emulate luxury and holiday warmth. Snow particles, subtle sparkles, and cinematic fog effects added texture and immersion.

There is no humanoid character in this project. Instead, inanimate objects were personified through charming movement—bouncing dice, gently rolling chips, and floating musical instruments gave life to the brand experience.

Object Modeling & Animation

Each item was individually modeled in 3D, carefully shaded and textured to reflect luxury materials:

Casino items used metallic and glossy finishes.

Food elements had rich color grading and bounce lighting to stimulate appetite and visual appeal.

• Items were animated with natural physics—sliding, bouncing, rotating—based on their weight and material.

Special Effects & Simulation

• Particle Simulations: Added to enhance snow, sparkle, and gift magic.

Fabric Simulation: Used on the flowing Christmas bag that opens up to reveal the chips.

Physics Simulations: Applied to objects falling onto the conveyor belt with believable weight and interaction.

Glow Effects: Subtle, premium light blooms around key objects to emphasize importance.

Lighting & Compositing

• Balanced warm and cool tones for contrast and depth.

• Ambient occlusion and global illumination techniques used to maintain realism.

• Composited elements like reflections, shadow casting, and atmospheric glow refined to create a polished look on the physical LED canvas.

Conclusion

The Solaire North Christmas 3D Billboard was a celebration of both brand and season—elevating Solaire’s identity as a luxurious, multifaceted destination through vibrant animation and emotive storytelling. It delivered high visual impact, resonated with the festive crowd, and brought premium holiday vibes to Quezon City.
